Not only animalsThe Bioparco extends over a surface area of 17 hectares amidst one of the city’s most suggestive botanical areas. It comprises typical plants of the Mediterranean area, such as the live oak, the local pine and the cork oak, as well as exotic plants such as the many types of palm, magnolia, the black mulberry or the camphor tree.
This ensures that animals are given more comfortable and natural spaces and that visitors enjoy an overall view of the different ecosystems. These, in turn, improve teaching and environmental conservation efforts.
