Può raggiungere i 4 kg di peso e 1 m di altezza.

Behavior

Vive in coppie con giovani al seguito e ha abitudini essenzialmente terrestri, preferendo correre e camminare piuttosto che volare.

Reproduction

Il maschio e la femmina cooperano nella costruzione del nido, in genere una buca rivestita di foglie secche, scavata nel terreno utilizzando il robusto becco. La femmina depone 1-2 uova che cova per circa 1 mese, mentre il maschio provvede alla sua alimentazione.

Diet

Si nutre di piccoli animali come rettili, anfibi, piccoli mammiferi, uccelli e insetti, ma anche di carogne, frutta e semi.
